A DJL Construction project to build a new 29,634 sq.ft Northern Removals Hub on the Merseyside-Lancashire border is progressing well and remains on track for completion in summer 2026.
Located at Unit 1 Stopgate Lane, on the edge of Simonswood Industrial Estate, north of Knowsley Business Park, the scheme is being delivered on behalf of DJL client, Linden Hill Capital, and leading international removals specialist, John Mason International.
Once complete, the purpose-built facility will serve as the new headquarters for John Mason International and its 60-strong staff, which will relocate from the company’s current base in Huyton.
The hub will also operate as a regional trading base for other removal companies seeking to expand their presence across the North West.
The high-spec hub features two dock levellers and multiple roller shutter door access to support efficient dispatch and logistics. The site will also include dedicated packing and consolidation zones, alongside shared office space for partner businesses across the UK.
Daniel Livesey, Managing Director of DJL Construction, said: “The team has enjoyed working on such an ambitious project. Its strategic location provides a convenient base for the North West, with easy access to the rest of the UK, and overseas through the Port of Liverpool.
“It will be a high-specification location, and we are looking forward to seeing it in action when complete.
“Industrial development is a real growth area for DJL Construction and we’re proud to be working with a number of partners across the North on important projects that support jobs, investment and the wider regional economy.”
