Overview
Daniel launched DJL in 2017 and is an accomplished professional overseeing strategic and business operations, including recruitment, people management and business development.
With a passion for construction ignited in childhood, Daniel began his career as a joiner, gaining experience in the UK and Australia on diverse projects.
While studying for an HNC in Construction and Civil Engineering, he transitioned into an office role with a developer, marking the start of his rise through the ranks.
From assistant quantity surveyor to project manager, Daniel has successfully priced, managed and delivered projects ranging from £250k to £5million, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the construction industry.
What gives you the greatest job satisfaction?
Supporting my family and peers while building lasting relationships with good people in my sector. I find it deeply rewarding to see projects come to life, especially when involved from conception, and providing employment while treating others well is incredibly fulfilling.

Rachael Livesey
Finance Manager

Overview
Rachael is a skilled finance professional with extensive experience in various sectors.
At DJL Construction, she oversees all financial aspects, including monthly management accounts, payroll, CIS returns, purchase orders, payments and bank reconciliations.
Her career began as a HR and accounting apprentice at Northcote and Ribble Valley Inns, where her passion for finance emerged. She then honed her expertise at J Waring & Sons, independently managing the accounts department, and later at Bishops Accountants, where she deepened her knowledge in complex accounts and taxation.
Dedicated and detail-oriented, Rachael brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role.

Providing for my family gives me the greatest job satisfaction. I am a highly self-motivated individual who consistently goes above and beyond expectations in every role I’ve undertaken. Knowing that my dedication and hard work make a difference has always been a source of pride and fulfilment for me.

Dan is an experienced construction professional with expertise in project planning, scheduling and site management.
With over 15 years as a skilled joiner and carpenter, he has also held roles as a site supervisor, site manager and construction manager.
Dan excels in developing project strategies, negotiating timetables and ensuring strict compliance with safety and legal standards. He collaborates seamlessly with architects, engineers, contractors and government officials to secure necessary permits and licenses.

Michael Stobbs

Overview
Michael is an experienced estimator with over 36 years in the construction industry, specialising in estimating and contract administration.
He spent 17 years representing clients, producing tender documents, procuring contractors and managing contracts. Additionally, he has 16 years of expertise as a post-contract quantity surveyor for contractors and developers, focusing on subcontractor procurement and contract administration.
Michael transitioned into estimating, dedicating three years to measuring, pricing and submitting tenders for contractors and developers. Michael’s diverse expertise showcases his versatility and commitment to excellence in commercial management.
